Mapping Application Dashboard
Challenge
The client needed a responsive, visually engaging mapping application that could operate both within an iframe and in full-screen mode. The primary challenge was to translate Sketch-based static designs into functional HTML/CSS while ensuring mobile compatibility and responsiveness. Additionally, creative input was expected to refine the existing design for better usability and aesthetics.
- Convert Sketch designs into a functional and responsive UI.
- Ensure seamless performance across desktop and mobile devices.
- Support iframe embedding without compromising functionality.
- Enhance the design where necessary for better user experience.
Solution
I designed and developed a modern, responsive dashboard for the mapping application. Leveraging HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design best practices, I transformed static Sketch files into an interactive UI ready for production. Alongside implementation, I proposed and executed subtle design improvements that enhanced usability.
- Converted static designs into semantic HTML and CSS with pixel-perfect accuracy.
- Implemented responsive layouts to support desktop, tablet, and mobile views.
- Ensured iframe compatibility with no loss of functionality.
- Optimized performance for fast rendering of geospatial elements.
- Refined UI elements for clarity, accessibility, and improved aesthetics.
Results
The final mapping dashboard delivered a seamless and visually consistent experience across devices, increasing user adoption and satisfaction. The responsive design allowed for smooth embedding in iframes and ensured the app was mobile-ready.
- Fully responsive UI compatible across all modern devices and browsers.
- Enhanced visual design improved user engagement and clarity.
- Maintained functional parity in both iframe and full-screen modes.
- Improved accessibility and usability with cleaner UI/UX patterns.
- Established a scalable foundation for future mapping features.
